A milestone moment awaits as the Summit Piano Trio prepares to make its first appearance on one of the world鈥檚 most iconic stages.

The Summit Piano Trio, featuring Helen Kim on violin, Charae Krueger on cello and Robert Henry on piano, will make its debut in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall on December 13. Known for their dynamic interpretations and refined musicality, the trio has curated a program that reflects their artistic voice and emotional range. They will perform Joaqu铆n Turina鈥檚 颁铆谤肠耻濒辞, Anton Arensky鈥檚 Piano Trio in D minor, and Felix Mendelssohn鈥檚 Piano Trio in C minor.

鈥淓ach piece shows a different side of what we love about the piano trio repertoire,鈥� said pianist Robert Henry. 鈥淭urina鈥檚 颁铆谤肠耻濒辞 paints the passing of a day 鈥� from sunrise to midnight 鈥� in shimmering, impressionistic colors. Arensky鈥檚 trio is a lush, heartfelt Romantic work that feels like a musical conversation between friends. And Mendelssohn鈥檚 C minor trio is pure energy 鈥� brilliant and deeply human.

Formed at 成人直播鈥檚 Bailey School of Music, the Summit Piano Trio began as a collaboration among colleagues 鈥� and quickly grew into a close-knit musical partnership.

鈥淭he name 鈥楽ummit鈥� felt right from the start,鈥� said cellist Charae Krueger. 鈥淚t reflects both our artistic aspirations and our roots. It鈥檚 a nod to Kennesaw Mountain, which rises right beside campus, and to the idea of meeting at the 鈥榮ummit鈥� 鈥� a place where three musical paths converge into one voice. Preparing for Carnegie Hall has pushed the trio to refine every detail of their performance.

The Bailey School of Music continues to support its students and faculty in pursuing high-impact opportunities that elevate the university鈥檚 presence on national and international stages. The Summit Piano Trio鈥檚 Carnegie Hall debut is a shining example of that mission in action.
