Hillary Steiner

Hillary H. Steiner, Ph.D. is the Associate Director for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) at the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) and Professor of Educational Psychology in the Department of Psychological Science at ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥. She is active in the SoTL community at the local, national, and international level, currently serving as a Regional Vice President (USA) of ISSOTL. She received the USG Board of Regents’ SoTL Award in 2017.

Jennifer Figueroa

Operations Chair

Jennifer Figueroa is the Director of Operations and Strategic Initiatives for the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) at ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥. As Conference Operations Chair, she serves as webmaster for the SoTL Summit website, provides logistical support for proposal submission and review, manages the registration process, and provides event management for both in-person and virtual conferences.

 

Sarah Gilitwala

Graphic Designer & Platform Manager 

Sarah Gilitwala is the Operations Coordinator for the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) at ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥. As the graphic designer, she designs all related graphics for both desktop and mobile versions of the conference. As the platform manager, she builds and coordinates the concurrent time slots between speakers on our conferencing platform, Sched.

About CETL

The at ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ supports the integrated professional development of ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ graduate students, full- and part-time faculty, and administrators throughout their careers. CETL offers programs and services rooted in learning science, process education, human development, organizational development, and assessment theory. They work to cultivate a data-driven, institutional-wide culture of progressive improvement in support of student success.

As part of their professional development for faculty, CETL hosts multiple external conferences and events. In addition to hosting the SoTL Summit each year, CETL has hosted the International Consortium for Educational Development (ICED) conference, the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (ISSOTL) conference, the Symposium for Part-time, Adjunct, and Contingent Educators (SPACE), and the Southeastern Teaching of Psychology (SETOP) conference.
