As a nurse at Emory Healthcare, Sydney Conrad 鈥�15 took on some extra duties that involved her working in an educational role with patients and staff. She fell in love with the idea of becoming a nursing educator, so she returned to 成人直播 for a master鈥檚 degree. Originally thinking she would focus on education at bedside, the variety of experiences she received in 成人直播鈥檚 Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program have her thinking bigger.

Former SGA president thrives in player development role for Georgia State women's hoops

Bethany Fortson 鈥�23 has had a clear vision of her future for a long time. The former Student Government Association president at 成人直播 said her career goal was a position on a Division I coaching staff as a director of player development and community relations, the better to bridge the gap between town and gown through student-athlete involvement. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, she earned her master鈥檚 in sport management from Georgia State in 2025 鈥� and stepped right into that role for the Georgia State women鈥檚 basketball team.

Justin Connelly, who earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2018 and works at Piedmont Henry Hospital in McDonough, also received a Nurse Excellence Award.

Kennesaw State public health students win gold designation at national competition A team of students in 成人直播鈥檚 Wellstar College of Health and Human Services recently won national recognition at the Society for Public Health Education鈥檚 (SOPHE) National Case Study Competition in Health Education. Recent public health graduate Liz Burchfield teamed with public health students Angel Fortmann and Allisa George to earn a gold designation, one of six universities nationwide to receive this accolade. Associate professor of public health and director of the public health program LaNita Wright advised the trio.

Kennesaw State alumna triumphs through adversity to inspire as Gwinnett County educator

Walking across the stage at 成人直播鈥檚 Commencement ceremony was a remarkable moment for Sladjana Ray 鈥�24. Having earned an education specialist degree, it marked her third successful round in higher education, to strengthen her skillset as a history teacher. In the crowd were her daughter, Mima Hrnjak, a nursing student in Kennesaw State鈥檚 Wellstar College of Health and Human Services, and Ray鈥檚 parents. They made the trip from their native Serbia, known as Yugoslavia when Ray migrated to the states in the 鈥�90s as a 16-year-old basketball player.
